Gaming Floor Layout

On our gaming floor we run over 300 slot machines, grouped by denomination so it is easier to find what you like. Progressive jackpot games sit close to the main entrance, so you see the current totals as you walk in. Higher denomination slots are in their own areas, while penny and nickel machines spread through the central parts of the floor.

Every slot machine is connected to our Gold Club system. Once you insert your card and start playing, your points track automatically in the background. Climate control stays on year-round and our beverage service reaches every section of the floor. Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks are available at several stations you can reach quickly.

The layout is straightforward. If you want a certain theme, volatility or game type, just ask and our staff will point you in the right direction. Seating is built for longer sessions without constant adjustment, and surveillance covers the entire gaming space for safety and compliance.

Table Games

Our table games area focuses on familiar rules so you can settle in fast. Blackjack is offered in standard multi-deck format and as Double Deck. For roulette we use single-zero wheels. Live Poker runs scheduled tournaments along with cash games. Minimum bets depend on the day and time - weekend evenings usually have higher entry points than weekday afternoons.

Blackjack tables seat seven players, with dealers rotating roughly every 40 minutes to keep the pace fresh. Double Deck blackjack has different odds compared to our six-deck shoes and some players like it when they work within legal card counting boundaries. Roulette tables run throughout operating hours with full inside and outside betting layouts.

Roulette dealers announce the winning numbers in both English and French. Live Poker tournaments need advance registration through the Gold Club desk, and we post buy-ins and prize structures on our event calendar each week.

Gold Club Membership

Gold Club membership is free. You enroll at the counter inside our casino and receive 10 dollars in free slot play right away, which must be used on the same day. The Gold Club counter follows our facility hours, so you can handle signups, card issues and account questions whenever we are open.

Points build as you play slots and can be turned into free play vouchers using fixed conversion ratios. Just keep your card in the machine while you play so you do not have to request credit manually. Points expire after 12 months with no activity, but a single qualifying visit within the year keeps your account active.

Every month we run member promotions. These can include point multiplier days, extra free play offers or other targeted rewards. We send notices through standard mail and also show your current offers at kiosks next to the Gold Club counter. As your tracked play grows, you move into higher tiers automatically, opening silver and gold benefits.

Members receive birthday bonuses, anniversary rewards and invitations to private events through the year. Higher tiers also have access to reserved parking areas and priority seating in our restaurant during busy hours. To use any benefit you need valid government photo ID that matches the name on your membership profile.

Hours and Schedule

Our winter hours are:

  1. Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM
  2. Friday and Saturday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM

Severe weather affecting Highway 5 can change these hours without much advance notice, especially when visibility drops.

Holiday schedules adjust slightly to balance staff needs and guest visits. On December 24 we operate from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On Christmas Day we open at 1:00 PM and close at 8:00 PM. New Year’s Eve extends to 2:00 AM, and New Year’s Day returns to our regular Sunday schedule.

When we know about upcoming changes, we post them on Facebook and our website homepage at least 48 hours in advance. Weather closures can be announced with less warning, particularly during winter storms in rural Manitoba. If you are traveling from Winnipeg or Brandon during storm alerts, it is smart to confirm our current status before you leave.

Our building has a maximum capacity of 1,025 patrons. Once we reach that number, temporary entry restrictions begin until more space opens. Weekend evenings from about 7:00 PM to midnight see the heaviest traffic. On weekday afternoons you will usually find more open gaming positions. Tournament days or large promotions can tighten capacity, so it helps to arrive early when those events are advertised.

Dining

We offer several dining choices just off the gaming floor. The Dunes restaurant features rotating buffet nights each week, including Canadian comfort dishes, international themes and specific seafood evenings. Buffet prices shift with the theme and day of the week, and Gold Club members receive discounts on select nights.

Oasis Bar and Grill sits right beside the gaming area and serves appetizers, sandwiches and full entrees for most of the day. The menu leans toward quicker service so you do not spend long stretches away from your game. The bar serves beer, wine and cocktails, including Manitoba-produced beverages on the list.

Our sports lounge includes a small performance stage that hosts regional acts on weekend evenings. Seating there is set up so you can see both the performers and the mounted screens with live sports. The lounge menu focuses on shareable plates and slightly more premium drinks, making it a spot to settle in for a game or a show.

We do not take standard table reservations. Seating operates on a first-come basis, and our host stations will give you an idea of current wait times. For groups of eight or more, you can contact us ahead of time so we can help coordinate seating, although we cannot fully guarantee exact times or locations.

Location Access

Our property is located about 10 minutes south of Carberry, Manitoba, directly off Highway 5 on Swan Lake First Nation territory. We sit roughly halfway between Winnipeg and Brandon along the Trans-Canada corridor, with Highway 5 signage pointing you toward our entrance road.

Parking is set up around the building in a paved lot that holds over 400 vehicles. Accessible parking spots are closest to the main entrance, and clearly marked areas at the edges of the lot handle RVs and oversized vehicles. During winter, active snow removal may temporarily block some stalls until clearing is complete.

We use a single main entrance with ramps and automatic doors for accessibility. Security monitors everyone coming in and checks ID for age verification. During colder months a coat check station operates at no charge, using numbered tickets so you can claim your items quickly when you leave.

Public transit does not reach our site directly. Guests usually arrive in personal vehicles or by arranging transportation from nearby communities. Taxi companies in Carberry offer on-call pickups and return trips, and for later evenings it is best to book ahead. We do not run shuttle services from regional hotels or larger cities.

Monthly Promotions

We publish a monthly event calendar on our website as a downloadable PDF. It lists our planned promotions and entertainment, with specific dates for point multipliers, tournaments and live performances. We update the main calendar at the start of each month, and if we add something mid-month we post it on Facebook for quicker notice.

On certain days we run free play voucher promotions for Gold Club members. During these events, vouchers are credited directly to member accounts. You then activate them at a slot machine within the set promotional window. Any unused promotional credits expire at the end of that day and are not extended.

Tournament-style events require advance signup and have posted entry fees and prize rules. Poker tournaments use elimination formats most players recognize, and slot tournaments run on timed sessions with scoreboards or leaderboards. Prizes are awarded as soon as the event wraps up and may be paid as cash or free slot play, depending on the tournament rules.

Live entertainment typically brings in regional bands, tribute performers and comedy acts on weekend nights. We aim to post performance schedules about six weeks before show dates. There is no separate cover charge to attend these shows beyond standard entry. Seating in the sports lounge is based on availability, and for popular acts we also accommodate standing room.

Security and Responsible Gaming

Security and oversight are active across the building. Surveillance cameras cover all gaming areas, dining rooms and main public zones, with live monitoring and recorded footage held according to regulatory standards.

We apply strict age checks at every entrance. Government-issued photo ID is required from all patrons, even if someone appears to be above the legal age. We accept driver’s licenses, passports and photo Indigenous status cards. Without valid ID we must refuse entry, and if you step outside and return, re-entry again requires showing ID.

Responsible gaming support is anchored at the Gold Club counter. There you can access information on our self-exclusion program and optional play limit tools. When someone enrolls in self-exclusion, they are not allowed to enter the facility for the period they have chosen, and our security team is trained to remove self-excluded patrons who still attempt access.

Our staff receives training to notice problem gaming patterns and to follow set steps when they see worrying behavior. We keep information on problem gambling services offered through Manitoba health agencies, including helpline numbers and counseling referrals. In addition to formal self-exclusion, you can choose a voluntary timeout that restricts your entry for anything from 24 hours up to 30 days.

Online Presence

Our official website, sandhillscasino.com, is the main source for up-to-date hours, promotions and facility notices. We do not offer online gambling, remote cash contests or any type of internet-based play under our name. All gaming activity for Sandhills Casino happens only inside our physical Manitoba location.

For quick announcements we use Facebook to share weather closures, schedule changes and promotional highlights. We are not active on other social networks. Any advertising that claims to be us on platforms like Instagram or Twitter is not authorized.

There have been fraudulent posts on social media that pretend to be linked with Sandhills Casino or advertise online gaming under our brand. These are unrelated to our operations. We work to report these scams, and we always advise guests to verify offers directly through our website or by calling the facility.

Email messages from us are sent only from addresses that end with the sandhillscasino.com domain. We do not ask for financial details, passwords or personal identification numbers by email or social media messages, and if you see such a request it is not from our team.
